A Rubus fruticosus or blackberry flower is reimagined and painted in a deep pink-purple. One highlight of rural Tennessee summers from my childhood through adulthood is the wild blackberries that grow everywhere. Their soft white crinkled flower petals always serve as a visual summer inspiration to me before their berries ever make their way into my summer cobbler. Part of the original painting series titled Into the Garden by Erica MacDonald.

This painting is approximately 10 x 8 inches which includes a white border that measures approximately 1/4 of an inch on all four sides. Painted on thick archival textured watercolor paper using premium watercolors and gouache. Signed by the artist. Frame not included.
