Statement

As an artist, I am fascinated by the duality of nature. My paintings echo my experiences with nature to present an “alternate creative possibility” for the viewer. My artistic process starts by exploring different landscapes to photograph "what is." Then, back in the studio, I paint "what could be." I focus on themes that emerge in and around nature, such as contrast, color, healing, and tranquility. My painting process allows me to access flow and clarity while prolonging my connection to nature.

My current and future work is focused on experimentation in new mediums, painting original collections, and creating artful hand-painted patterns. My next series of paintings will be released in the summer of 2024.
